Stocks open on happy note after Eid holidays

Dhaka stocks opened on a positive note on Sunday, the first session after a five-day closure due to public holidays for Eid celebration and weekends.
In the first 30 minutes into the trade, the benchmark DSEX (Dhaka Stock Exchange Board) index rose 25 points or 0.39 percent to close at 6,430.
Other indices, the Shariah-based DSES index was up 3 points or 0.24 percent to 1,391, and the blue-chip DS30 index moved up 9 points or 0.39 percent to 2,331.
The trading hours will be shortened from 10 am to 1 pm due to coronavirus restrictions, according to Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC).
