Dhaka stocks opened marginally lower due to profit booking on Monday after closing all-time high amid technical fault in the previous session.
This would be the final trading session before long closure on account of public holidays to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha.
In the first 30 minutes into the trade, the benchmark DSEX (Dhaka Stock Exchange) index dropped 12 points or 0.19 percent to 6,352.
Other indices, the Shariah-based DSES index was down 2 points or 0.16 percent to 1,377, and the blue-chip DS30 index moved down about 3 points or 0.12 percent to 2,303.
