DSE shuts down Banco Securities

Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has suspended the activities of Banco Securities due to irregularities.
It has also decided to file a case against the brokerage house.
The decision was taken at the DSE board meeting on Monday.
Banco Securities has a deficit of Tk 60 crore, which is very risky for investors.
DSE Chairman Yunusur Rahman said an investigation was underway against the brokerage house.
The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission was informed about the issue and then the commission directed the DSE to stop the transaction activities of the house. The commission also asked the bourse to file a case against the house.
The commission will ask the relevant agencies to take measures to prevent the accused individuals of the brokerage firms from leaving the country.
