Stocks open lower, insurers rally

Stocks opened lower on Monday after closing flat in the previous session.
The selling pressure was observed in almost all the sectors except insurance.
In the first 30 minutes into the trade, the benchmark DSEX index lost 16 points or 0.27 percent to 6,019.
Other indices, the Shariah-based DSES index fell 3 points or 0.25 percent to 1,290 and the blue-chip DS30 index moved down 9 points or 0.43 percent to 2,182.
