TCB to begin selling commodities at subsidised prices today

The state-run Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will begin selling essential commodities at subsidized prices across the country starting tomorrow for the month of September 2024.

As part of this initiative, TCB dealers will distribute rice, lentils, and edible oil at reduced prices to one crore family card holders.

The commodities will be available at designated shops or permanent outlets in collaboration with the respective city corporations, district, and upazila administrations on specified dates and times.

Each family card holder can purchase up to two liters of edible oil at Tk 100 per liter, two kilograms of lentils at Tk 60 per kg, and five kilograms of rice at Tk 30 per kg.
