DSE maintains gaining streak

The country's premier bourse, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), today also witnessed an upward trend like earlier as investors continued their buying spree on large-cap issues amid optimism.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, gained 35 points settling at 5,118 points, reports BSS.
Meanwhile, the blue-chip index DS30 rose by 10 points to 1,822, and the DSES also rose by 7 points to 1,108.
The turnover value jumped by 21 percent during the session, reaching Tk423 crore compared to the previous session.
Among the traded scrips, 224 advanced, 113 declined, and 59 remained unchanged.
Crystal Insurance Company, Beach Hatchery, and Alif Industries Limited were the most traded shares on the Dhaka Stock Exchange.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) closed the day of the week with a downward trend with its major CASPI 6.48 points down at 14547.24.
At the CSE, 186 issues were traded. Of those, 72 closed higher and 87 closed lower when 2.66 crore shares worth about Tk 116.88 crore changed hands.
