Palm oil, sugar to be cheaper from Sunday

The retail price of loose palm oil has been fixed at Tk 133 per litre, which is now Tk 145.
Besides, the retail price per kilogram of packaged refined sugar has been fixed at Tk 89 from the current price of Tk 95. And the retail price per kilogram of loose refined sugar has been fixed at Tk 84.
The new price will come into effect in the market from Sunday.
The decision was made on Thursday in a meeting in Dhaka between government officials concerned and the Bangladesh Vegetable Oil Refiners & Vanaspati Manufacturers Association.
The commerce ministry later issued a circular to this effect.
