Dhaka stocks open lower

Dhaka Stock Exchange started trading on a negative note on Sunday breaking the previous session’s upward trend.
In the first 30 minutes into the trade, the benchmark index of DSE, DSEX decreased over 19 points or 0.29 percent to 6,357.
Among other indices, the shariah-based DSES was down by 5.64 points or 0.40 percent and the blue-chip DS-30 fell by 15.02 points or 0.65 percent.
Over Tk 103 crore worth of shares transacted so far in DSE, where Intraco, Fortune Shoes, Shinepukur Ceramics, Sonali Paper and Aamra Net were the top five traded stocks.
Earlier on Wednesday, DSEX went up about 26 points, the shariah-based DSES by 1 point and the blue-chip DS-30 increased by 1 point.
