Dhaka Stock Exchange started trading on a positive note on Sunday in line with the previous session’s upward trend.

In the first 30 minutes into the trade, the benchmark index of DSE, DSEX has increased over 15 points or 0.24 percent to 6,342.

Among other indices, the shariah-based DSES was up by 2.77 points or 0.20 percent and the blue-chip DS-30 rose by 3.89 points or 0.16 percent.

Over Tk 62 crore worth of shares transacted so far in DSE, where Shinepukur Ceramics, Fu-wang Food, Bangas, Shurwid Industries, and Emerald Oil were the top five traded stocks.

Earlier on Thursday, DSEX, benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, gained only 9 points or 0.15 percent to settle the day at 6,327.

Among other indices, the shariah-based DSES was up by 1.45 points or 0.10 percent, and the blue-chip DS-30 increased by 4.64 points or 0.20 percent.

The DSE saw a turnover of Tk 683.74 crore, which is Tk 10.63 crore less than the previous session.

Shares of the 381 companies traded on the day, of which 145 firms gained, 162 lost and 74 remained unchanged.
