Dhaka stocks open higher

Dhaka Stock Exchange started trading on a positive note on Thursday in line with the previous session’s upward trend.
In the first 30 minutes into the trade, the benchmark index of DSE, DSEX has decreased over 41 points or 0.66 percent to 6,359.
Among other indices, the shariah-based DSES was up by 6.75 points or 0.48 percent and the blue-chip DS-30 rose by 13.53 points or 0.59 percent.
Over Tk 70 crore worth of shares transacted so far in DSE, where Titas Gas, Shinepukur Ceramics, Power Grid, Beximco Limited, and Fu-wang Food were the top five traded stocks.
Earlier on Wednesday, DSEX, the broader index of DSE went up over 6 points or 0.09 percent to settle the day at 6,317.
Among other indices, the shariah-based DSES increased by 2.56 point or 0.18 percent, and the blue-chip DS-30 fell by 1.46 points or 0.06 percent.
On the day, the total turnover on the DSE was Tk 694.37 crore, which was Tk 31.51 crore less than the previous session.
