The CSE-30 index has been adjusted based on a performance review of companies listed on the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE).

Eight new companies have been added and the previous eight companies have been left out.

The new adjustment will be effective from June 30, said the CSE in a press release on Wednesday.

The newly added companies in the CSE-30 index are Bank Asia, Baraka Patenga Power, BSRM Steels, Confidence Cement, Linde BD, Matin Spinning Mills, Power Grid Company of Bangladesh and Premier Cement.

On the other hand, the companies excluded from the CSE-30 Index are Aamra Network, Al-Arafah Islami Bank, Aman Feed, BBS Cables, Esquire Knit Composite, Khulna Power Company, Sandhani Life Insurance and Singer Bangladesh Limited.

The companies listed in the CSE-30 Index have a market capitalisation of about 17.53 percent of the total registered companies and 23.06 percent of the free-float market capitalisation of all listed companies, including free-float market capitalisation.
