Dhaka stocks open in green

Dhaka Stock Exchange started trading on a positive note on Wednesday overcoming the previous session’s downward trend.
In the first 30 minutes into the trade, the benchmark index of DSE, DSEX has decreased over 15 points or 0.24 percent to 6,327.
Among other indices, the shariah-based DSES was up by 3.97 points or 0.28 percent and the blue-chip DS-30 rose by 5.04 points or 0.21 percent.
Over Tk 72 crore worth of shares transacted so far in DSE, where Shinepukur Ceramics, Alif Industries, Beximco Limited, Fu-wang Food, and JHRML were the top five traded stocks.
Earlier on Tuesday, DSEX, the broader index of DSE went down over 45 points or 0.71 percent to settle the day at 6,311.
Among other indices, the shariah-based DSES decreased by 9.11 point or 0.65 percent, and the blue-chip DS-30 fell by 19.15 points or 0.82 percent.
On the day, the total turnover on the DSE was Tk 725.88 crore, which was Tk 96.51 crore less than the previous session.
