The Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS) on Thursday reduced gold prices by Tk 2,916 to Tk 79,548 a bhori (22-carat) as the prices of the precious metal fell on the international market.
The jewellers association made the decision in a meeting held in the city on the day.
BAJUS said the revised prices will be effective from Friday.
Earlier on Sunday, the jewellers association increased the gold prices by Tk 4,199 per bhori.
