The main attraction of the day was Beximco’s Sukuk Bond which made its debut on the day. This bond has been a matter of hot discussion for the last one year.

Although the dividend bond is attractive by any measure, owning one is beyond the reach of the general investors.

However, the index did not take long to turn around. As a result, at the end of the first hour of trading, the main price index increased by 36 points.

Then investors had expected a big upswing in the stock market at the end of the day. But in the last two hours, several companies lost their prices and the big rise of the index remained static.

The Fuel and Power sector had the top position in terms of turnover. The total turnover of this sector was Tk 167.1 crore, which is 14.49 percent of the total turnover.
