Stocks jump at open

Dhaka stocks started trading with a positive note on Tuesday, in line with the previous session’s upward trend.
In the first 30 minutes into the trade, the benchmark DSEX index has increased over 59 points or 0.84 percent.
Other indices, the shariah-based DSES index was up by 9.09 points or 0.62 percent and the blue-chip DS-30 index increased by 19.54 points or 0.74 percent.
Over Tk 200 crore worth of shares traded so far in DSE index, where SKICL, ACMEPL, One Bank, Active Fine and Beximco were the top five traded stocks.
Meanwhile, on Monday, the benchmark index of DSE increased by 12.90 points, or 0.18 percent, to close the day at 6,978.53.
The shariah-based index DSES was up by 3.60 points or 0.24 percent, but the blue-chip DSE-30 index decreased by 3.62 points or 0.13 percent.
The DSE had a turnover of Tk 887.13 crore on the day, down by 7.85 crore or 0.87 percent from the previous session.
