CSE holds training for trek holder company authorised representatives

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) launched a four-day qualifying training of authorised representatives of the trek holder companies under the CSE on Sunday.

The training was inaugurated by the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Commissioner Dr. Sheikh Shamshuddin Ahmed at the BSEC multipurpose hall.

CSE Managing Director Md Ghulam Faruque, among others, was present at the event.

During the inaugural speech, the BSEC Commissioner Dr Sheikh Shamshuddin Ahmed said, “I participate in such training programmes on my own initiative, because you, the authorised representatives, are the lifeline of the capital market.”

The BSEC commissioner continued, “If you help properly, it will be good for you and also for everyone in the capital market. According to the authorised representative policy, you have four characteristics - reputation, loyalty, honesty and efficiency.”

The CSE managing director said, “You need to remain careful on how to reduce the investment risks.

He went on, “Before investing, you will know the management of company, EPS, PE, etc.”

Mutual funds are the most popular investment securities globally. You also can decide to invest in it. However, it is important to remember again that your investment is to cut the level of risks.

Chief Regulatory Officer Md Mortuza Alam said that through this training, everyone will know the securities rules well and will apply them properly in the workplace.

Through this four-day training, the participants will know about the judicial and arbitration process, the Trek compliance and listing rules, margin rules, securities and exchange rules of the CSE alongside the investment education and investor protection, national best practices, and many more rules for trading.

The participants will get their trading license after this four-day training.
