Dhaka stocks started trading with a slightly positive sign on Tuesday, overcoming the previous session’s downward trend.
In the first 30 minutes into the trade, the benchmark DSEX index has increased over 19 points or 0.27 percent.
Other indices, the shariah-based DSES index was up by 1.27 points or 0.08 percent and the blue-chip DS30 index increased 2.48 points or 0.09 percent.
Over Tk 144 crore worth of shares traded so far in DSE, where Delta Life, BATBC, Genex Infosys, Orion Pharma, and Beximco Limited were the top five traded stocks.
Meanwhile, on Monday, DSEX dropped by 120 points or 1.72% to settle the day at 6,885, lowest in seven months. Earlier on April 4 this year, index fell 182 points.
Almost all stocks, be it pharmaceuticals, banks and insurance saw a significant decline in their prices.
