Desco declares 10% cash dividend

Dhaka Electric Supply Company (Desco) has recommended a 10 percent cash dividend for its shareholders for the year ended on June 30, 2021.

The dividend payout was recommended at the company's board of directors meeting held recently in the capital.

However, final approval regarding the dividends will come from the annual general meeting (AGM) scheduled for January 15, 2022, the company said in a filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Sunday.

The company has reported EPS of Tk 1.86 and consolidated NAV per share of Tk 65.24 during the period.

The net income increased riding on the surge in sales and decrease in corporate tax.

The Company has also reported before revaluation NAV per share Tk 47.99 and after revaluation NAV per share Tk 65.24.

The record date for the distribution of the declared dividend among the shareholders has been fixed at November 18.
