Dhaka stocks started trading positively on Sunday, after overcoming last week's downward trend.

But after a while, all the indicators started tp declinine again. The volume of transactions also became quite slow.

In the first 30 minutes into the trade, the benchmark DSEX increased by 7 points or 0.10 percent.

Other indices, the shariah-based DSES index decreased by 0.70 point or 0.04 percent and the blue-chip DS30 declined by 0.36 points or 0.01 percent.

Over Tk 179 crore worth of shares were traded so far in DSE, where Orion Pharma, LafargeHolcim, NRBC Bank, Fortune Shoes and Delta Life were the top five traded stocks.

Meanwhile, the key index of DSEX, fell nearly 100 points or 1.36 percent to end the week at 7,243 on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.

Shares worth Tk 9,062 crore were traded on the DSE in the last week, down by Tk 3,662 crore or 28.78 percent from that of a week ago.
