Dhaka stocks opened sharply higher on Monday, in line with the previous session’s rally.
In the first 30 minutes into the trade, the benchmark DSEX rose by 8 points or 0.11 percent.
Other indices, the shariah-based DSES index jumped by 2.42 points or 0.15 percent and the blue-chip DS30 decreased by 0.20 points or 0.007 percent.
Over Tk 252 crore worth of shares were traded so far in DSE, where IFIC Bank, Makson Spinning, ACI, Paramount Textile and Saiham Textiles were the top five traded stocks.
Meanwhile, Dhaka stocks advanced on Sunday, riding on banks, textiles and mutual funds.
DSEX index increased by 25 points to finish the day at 7,368.
Over Tk 1,962 crore worth of shares were traded in the DSE on Sunday, Tk 535.50 crore less than the previous session.
