Midas Financing returns to profit

Midas Financing has returned to profit in the second quarter ended in June 2021.

Its earnings per share (EPS) stood at Tk 1.08 in Q2, from the loss of Tk 0.19 recorded in the same period a year ago, said the insurer in a filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Sunday.

As of June 30, 2021, the company’s net asset value (NAV) per share dropped to Tk 8.97 from Tk 11.69 on December 31, 2020.

Meanwhile, the company's earnings per share (EPS) for the first six months of the current financial year (January-June '21) stood at Tk 2.72.
