Dhaka stock market showing high volatility

The benchmark index of Dhaka stock market opened higher on Wednesday after a sharp fall in the previous session. But the market shows a strong volatility as the time goes on.

In the first 10 minutes into the trade, the benchmark DSEX index gained 51 points at 7,191. After 50 minutes of trading, DSEX turned negative and stood at 7102 points, meaning that the index fell 89 points from its peak at 10.10 am.

Again the market rose to 7157 points at 11.04 am and fell to 7126 at 11.20 am before it rose to 7171 points at 12.30pm.

Other indices, the Shariah-based DSES and the blue-chip DS30 index are also witnessing fluctuations.

Beximco Limited, Lanka Bangla Finance and Beximco Pharma were the top three traded shares in the market till filing the report at 12-30pm.
