DSE, CSE stocks witness up on large-cap vibe

Stocks on Monday witnessed upward trend as major indices of both Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchanges were found rising with higher activities of some large-cap securities.
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 13.06 points or 0.21 percent to settle at 6,264.35, reports BSS.
Two other indices also ended higher with the DSE 30 Index, comprising blue chips, rose 4.39 points to finish at 2,116.86 and the DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 3.92 points to close at 1,364.36.
At DSE, out of the day's 345 securities, prices of 122 securities closed higher against 43 losing issues.
The day's trade value at the DSE increased to Tk 5,917.69 million which was Tk 5,379.13 million at the previous session of the week.
The major gaining issues were ANLIMAYARN, OAL, ARAMITCEM, SKTRIMS and PDL while the major losing companies were KPPL, CAPITECGBF, YPL, ATCSLGF and CAPMIBBLMF.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) closed the day of the week with an upward trend with its major CASPI 38.28 points up at 18,584.81.
At the CSE, 216 issues were traded. Of those, 77 closed higher and 26 closed lower when 69.53 lakh shares worth Tk 23.23 crore changed hands.
