The World Food Programme is looking for a project officer to join the Emergency Telecommunications Sector team in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, to support the Rohingya Refugee Response through the Services for Communities project.

Master’s/equivalent degree in International Development, Community Development, Humanitarian Aid, Journalism, Media and Communications, or another related field or relevant experience is required.

At least eight years of progressively responsible professional experience with minimum three years of managerial experience with humanitarian agencies (NGOs and/or the UN) in support of humanitarian services, and experience managing projects in community engagement – preferably in digital innovation, communications, or ICT projects is required.

This position will focus on Community Engagement and developing appropriate solutions to community needs when it comes to communications, digital aid, technology solutions, and ensuring beneficiaries have the information and communications capacity they need to make informed decisions and are involved in the humanitarian response.
