NPL goes down slightly

Nonperforming loans (NPL) slightly reduced to 8.07 percent at the end of March 2021, Bangladesh Bank data show.
BB updates NPL data on a quarterly basis and it was 8.1 percent at the end of December 2020.
Like many other countries, Bangladesh has been going through the coronavirus pandemic since March 2020. To tackle the pandemic, Bangladesh Bank, the country’s central bank, gave a cushion that no borrowers would be considered defaulted if he/she failed to pay loans.
