Chinese company to establish $3.85m wig industry in Ishwardi EPZ

Chinese company M/s Dream Industries Bengal is going to establish a wig and hair goods manufacturing industry in Ishwardi EPZ in Pabna, with an investment of $3.85 million.

To this end, the company on Thursday signed an agreement with the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (Bepza), said a Bepza press release.

Dream Industries will produce annually 2.6 million wigs made of synthetic fiber, hair goods, human hair, and washed bovine hair.

It will generate 2496 employments for Bangladeshi nationals.

The Bepza is continuously receiving investment proposals from both local and foreign investors because of the friendly investment atmosphere in EPZs even in the pandemic, the press release said.

Bepza Member (investment and promotion) Md Mahmudul Hossain Khan and Dream Industries Managing Director Feng Haoran signed the agreement at the BEPZA Complex in the capital, on behalf of their respective organizations.

Bepza Executive Chairman Md Nazrul Islam, Member (engineering) Mohammad Faruque Alam, and Secretary Md Zakir Hossain Chowdhury were present at the signing event, among others, it reads.
