Stocks edge higher at open

Stocks opened higher on Wednesday after ending flat in the previous session.
In the first 45 minutes into trade, the benchmark DSEX gained 15 points or 0.30 percent to settle at 5,204.
Other indices, the Shariah-based DSES index was up 2 points or 0.24 percent to 1,185 and blue-chip comprising DS30 index gained 10 points or 0.52% to 1,971.
The market will be shut down for a week from tomorrow until April 21 due to the lockdown imposed to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
