Pangaon Inland Container Terminal will be more profitable soon: Salman

Prime Minister's Private Industry and Investment Adviser Salman F Rahman on Saturday said all sorts of initiatives would be taken to make the Pangaon Inland Container Terminal more profitable soon and also to minimize loads on the roads by increasing the transportation of containers.

He said this after visiting the terminal along with Minister for Environment, Forests and Climate Change Saber Hossain Chowdhury, Chief Whip Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury and State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury and other high officials, reports BSS.

Salman said the problem related to the handling operations of the terminal would be resolved within one month while the workers at this terminal would get much work if more containers come to this container terminal.

"The government is working so that more containers come to this terminal," he added.

He said, "We've been able to identify the problems centering this terminal and hopefully we'll be able to resolve the problems soon,"

The adviser also assured that the high-ups of the Inland Container Terminal would extend all sorts of cooperation from the government to resolve the existing problems.
