RCC to find more earning sources for strengthening economic foundation

Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) has been finding new more earning sources for standing its economic condition on a strong foundation.

It has already adopted various time-fitting measures, including bringing all the potential sectors under the coverage of revenue and taxes, for strengthening the economic condition, reports BSS.

RCC Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton revealed this while sharing views with officers of the departments of conservancy, accounts and health at the city bhaban conference hall on Wednesday.

He said steps have been taken to establish river port and solar plant and significant progress has been attained in the field of establishing the proposed river port.

said they are finding new more income sources for strengthening their economic foundation. "We don't want to be dependent on only the holding taxes," he added.

Mayor Liton also said the city corporation has attained significant success in different fields, including cleanliness, greenery, street lighting and health, during the last couple of years.

He said the officials and staff concerned should discharge their duties with sincerity and honesty for bringing dynamism into the city corporation activities.
