The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) will host a three-day Bangladesh Business Summit 2023 scheduled to begin on March 11.

The FBCCI, the apex business body of Bangladesh, is going to hold the summit marking its 50th anniversary to promote the country's trade and investment atmosphere. The FBCCI has reached a partnership with CNN for covering the event globally.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the summit and will also join the Fireside Chat with Richard Quest, CNN Business editor-at-large, according to the FBCCI.

CNN will also conduct a session on Bangladesh business opportunities and a panel discussion with Richard Quest.

The Bangladesh Business Summit will also be hosted at the Bangladesh Expo and FBCCI Business Awards 2023.

There will be three plenary sessions on strategic issues, 13 parallel technical sessions, B2B meets, networking sessions, an open house reception and guided tours for international delegates.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Commerce and Bangladesh Investment Development Authority are also working with the FBCCI to hold the summit successfully.

Speaking as the chief guest at an event on Thursday, Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen said the Bangladesh Business Summit is a very time-worthy initiative against the backdrop of the global economic slowdown due to the impact of the coronavirus and Russia-Ukraine war.

Taking part in the event, FBCCI President Md Jashim Uddin said that the country is now moving forward with a new vision to build a smart Bangladesh by 2014.
