Local company to set up textile chemical industry in Ishwardi EPZ

Lynpers Chemical Industries Ltd, a Bangladeshi company, is going to set up a textile chemical industry in Ishwardi Export Processing Zone (IEPZ). 

It will invest $5.7 million (equivalent to Tk 53.5 crore) to produce 90 lakh kilograms of textile auxiliary chemical like green acid, wetting & detergent, green soda, cotton levelling, polyester levelling, softener, silicon, fixing, wash off, stabiliser, sequestering, etc per annum. Some 121 Bangladeshi nationals will get employment opportunity in this factory, said a news release on Sunday.

Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and Lynpers Chemical Industries Ltd signed an agreement to this effect recently at BEPZA Complex in Dhaka. 

BEPZA Member (Investment Promotion) Ali Reza Mazid and Lynpers Chemical Industries Chairman Md Rofiqul Islam Mondal signed the agreement on behalf of their respective ends. 

BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman witnessed the signing ceremony. 

Among others, BEPZA Member (Engineering) Mohammad Faruque Alam, Member (Finance) Nafisa Banu, BEPZA EZ Project Director of Md Hafizur Rahman, Executive Director (Investment Promotion) Md Tanvir Hossain, Executive Director (Enterprise Services) Md Khorshid Alam of BEPZA and Lynpers Chemical Industries Managing Director SK Rezwanul Haque were present during the signing ceremony.
