The government has cleared all arrears under various export-incentive schemes for the outgoing fiscal year, a move that will help exporters meet their liquidity concerns amid the rising prices of raw materials and production costs.

This was the fourth and last installment of cash incentives disbursed for the outgoing fiscal year 2021-2022.

Export-oriented sectors including readymade garments, frozen fish and shrimp, leather items, jute and jute products, and agro-processed items will get the funds, according to a circular of the finance division issued on Monday.

A special 1 percent cash incentive support fund for the RMG industry has also been included in the latest installment.

Earlier, the government paid Tk 5,700 crore arrears as an export incentive.

At present, the government provides a 1 to 20 percent cash incentive on the export of 38 products.
