The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will implement technical cooperation project for assisting the development of Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority, said HAYAKAWA Yuho, chief representative of JICA Bangladesh.

Yuho also said the project, alongside assisting Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA), will support in further development of the one stop services (OSS) for special economic zones (SEZs).

The JICA Bangladesh chief came up with the disclosure during a courtesy visit at Business Initiative Leading Development (BUILD) office in the capital on Monday.

Ferdaus Ara Begum, the BUILD CEO, provided a rundown on how two organisations might begin working together on projects and explore opportunities with the private sector, according to a statement.

Yuho pointed out the huge potential of Bangladesh market and assured that JICA will provide all the necessary supports in the development.

Further, he expressed keen interest to receive support from BUILD to connect with the private sector of the country in order to understand the pulse of the private sector.

BUILD and JICA will make a joint collaboration in future and the meeting highlights investment and overall business climates of the country.

SETO Shoha, Representative MIDI Economic Zone Development, Port and Private Sector Development, Asif Hasan, Programme Officer, JICA, Syed Azim, Consultant, BUILD, Saquib Quereshi, technical experts and BUILD team members attended the meeting.
