Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) is gradually incorporating necessary services for the local investors and those are being dispensed from its One Stop Service (OSS) at Mirpur to ease doing businesses.

They added to their service basket opening up bank accounts and providing trades licences to the North city investors from Wednesday, said a press release.

The bona-fide investors could open a Sonali Bank account from the OSS centre at Mirpur.

BIDA’s Executive Member Mohsina Yasmin announced the service as she presided over the launching programme at BIDA auditorium.

Speaking on the occasion, she said that with the addition of two new services to BIDA’s OSS portal, investors will now be able to access more investment related services easily.

She further said that BIDA is working towards providing maximum services to the investors. “We have already come up with 56 services from 16 companies. The clients should have the mindset and be aware of receiving the services.”

Md. Ataur Rahman Pradhan, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Sonali Bank Ltd. Said, “We have 1229 branches across the country and all of them are covered online and this service can be availed from all the branches through BIDA’s OSS.”

Md. Abdul Hamid Mian, Chief Revenue Officer of Dhaka North City Corporation said, “The investors will easily pay government-fixed fees (excluding government-designated residential areas) in Dhaka through BIDA OSS and they will be able to get trade license, for which investors will not need to go to Dhaka North City Corporation office.”
