The Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) on Sunday announced that it would arrange an investment summit on November 28 and 29 this year.

The agency came up with the declaration in a press briefing in the capital.

Prime Minister's Private Industry and Investment Advisor Salman F Rahman was present at the event as chief guest. Sheikh Yusuf Harun, executive chairman of the Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA), Md Tofazzal Hossain Miah, secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office, Sultana Afroz, CEO of the Public-Private Partnership Authority, Md Nazrul Islam, executive chairman of the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA), were present, among others, in the press conference.

Bangladesh needs its own branding at different levels to attract foreign direct investment, said Salman F Rahman.

“In the last three consecutive tenure, the government has created an investment-friendly environment and huge opportunities those we could not utilise properly yet," he added.
