Stocks extended their gains for the fifth straight session as the bull run continued on the prime bourse.
However, investors resorted to profit-booking in the early trade which sparked uncertainty and the index oscillated between red and green zones throughout the day.
On Monday, the benchmark DGEX index added 22 points or 0.32 percent to close at 7,075, which is the all-time high, hitting as low as 7,045 and as high as 7,090.
Other two indices, the Shariah-based DSES index rose 7 points or 0.48 percent to 1,536 and the blue-chip DS30 index was up 12 points or 0.49 percent to 2,546.
Hopes for market stabilisation fund for a market support might help play the role of catalysts in the bullish close of the bourse, according to brokers.
