Bengal Group Vice-Chairman Jasim Uddin has been elected president of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) unopposed for the 2021-23 term.
He, also former senior vice-president of the organization, became the 23rd president of the country’s apex trade body.
The organization announced the result at the Federation Bhaban in the capital’s Motijheel area on Sunday.
Mostafa Azad Chowdhury Babu has become the senior vice president of the organization.
Besides, Former DCCI President MA Momen, Founding Director of Exim Bank and Former President of Barvida Habib Ullah Don, and printing industry entrepreneur Amin Helali have elected three vice-presidents from the association group, while Mymensingh Chamber President Aminul Haque Shamim, Chairman of Minister Hi-Tech Park MA Razzak Khan Raj, and Labib Group Chairman Salauddin Alamgir made vice-presidents from chamber group.
Like the previous time, the organization gets 78 office bearers unopposed in the election.
