The national university has halted all its examinations for the spike of coronavirus across the country.

A notice was issued in this regard on Friday, signed by Ataur Rahman, public relations director of the university.

The notice said the revised date will be informed once the situation turns into normalcy.

Meanwhile, the cabinet issued a gazette on Friday saying all the educational institutions will be closed until February 6 for the uptrend of coronavirus cases across the country.

As per the gazette, not more than 100 people will be allowed to participate in any type of social, political, religious, or government event. Further, the participants must have their covid vaccine certificates and RT-PCR negative certificates.

RT-PCR test should be done 24 hours before attending the event.

Earlier on Thursday, the country logged 10,888 fresh coronavirus cases, while the positivity rate rose to 26.37 percent.
