Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday.
Kamal Hossain, the public relations officer (PRO) of the ministry, confirmed the matter to media on Thursday.
The minister tested coronavirus positive on Wednesday noon, he said.
However, the physical condition of the minister is fine, and he is at home, said the ministry PRO.
Sources from the food ministry said the minister provided sample for testing on Tuesday as he caught cold.
