With most of the poor people losing their regular work due to the strict lockdown imposed to curb the spread of Covid-19, Shahjalal Islami Bank distributed relief among the poor at Nawabganj upazila of Dhaka.
The relief was distributed as the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of the bank, reads a press release.
The relief was distributed among thousands of poor families. Each family got 2 kg of rice, 1 kg sugar, 1 kg lentils, 1 litre oil, 2 packet semai, 1 packet kismis, 1 pcs soap and 1 packet powdered milk as relief from the bank.
