Pubali Bank appoints Safiul Alam as managing director

Safiul Alam Khan Chowdhury has been appointed as managing director and chief executive officer of Pubali Bank recently.

He was serving as additional managing director of the bank from January 01, 2016, said a press release.

Chowdhury, a post-graduate from Dhaka University, joined Pubali Bank in 1983 as a probationary senior officer.

In the long career, he has held several top positions in the bank, including head of the credit committee, general manager of various divisions, head of corporate branches, head of Dhaka North region and deputy managing director.

He participated in various seminars, symposiums, workshops and training programs on banking at home and abroad, the release said.
