Walton awarded ’Gold Trophy’ in DITF-24

The country's tech giant, Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC, was awarded the 'Gold Trophy' for the best stall in the electronics product category at the recently concluded 28th Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF)-2024.
The organisers of the country's mega trade show, the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) and the Ministry of Commerce, awarded Walton the 'Gold Trophy' in recognition of its eye-catching mega stall and display of high-quality, innovative products at the fair.
Walton Hi-Tech Industries received the award during the concluding ceremony of the 28th DITF-24, which took place at the conference hall of the Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre in Purbachal, the capital, on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.
State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam (Titu) presided over the ceremony as the chief guest, presenting the 'Gold Trophy' and certificate to Nishat Tasnim Shuchi, director of Walton Hi-Tech, and CEO of Walton Micro-Tech Corporation.
The event also saw the presence of FBCCI President Mahbubul Alam as a special guest, with Senior Commerce Secretary Tapan Kanti Ghosh presiding over the ceremony.
EPB Vice-Chairman A.H.M. Ahsan delivered the welcome speech at the event.
Representing Walton Hi-Tech Industries, additional managing director Major General (Retd.) Ibne Fazal Shayekhuzzaman and chief marketing officer Didarul Alam Khan were also present during the award-giving session.
During the 28th DITF, the Bangladeshi electronics giant 'Walton' constructed a spectacular mega stall designed after the Bangabandhu tunnel.
They showcased a wide array of products including smart fridges, air conditioners, TVs, elevators, washing machines, laptops, computers, electric bikes, and various home and kitchen appliances.
On the opening day of the DITF-24, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina toured Walton's impressive mega stall.
She expressed great admiration for the 'Made in Bangladesh' labeled Walton products and the remarkable strides made by the local brand in manufacturing high-tech items.
The Prime Minister particularly commended Walton's brand of laptops, smart fridges, air conditioners, televisions, lifts, and energy-efficient home appliances.
She also lauded Bangladesh's advancements in the production of smart technology products.
