Top VAT & taxpayer Walton Plaza’s Challengers’ Summit-2024 held in Gazipur

The country's largest electronics products sales network, "Walton Plaza," achieved record sales last year, earning it the title of the highest VAT contributor and taxpayer for the fiscal year 2022-23.

In addition to its business operations, Walton Plaza is actively engaged in various social and humanitarian activities as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

Notably, Walton Plaza has provided financial assistance to over two hundred families under its 'Hire Purchaser and Family Protection Policy', reports a press release.

Under the slogan "We were the best, we are the best, and we will be the best," the day-long 'Walton Plaza Challengers' Summit-2024' was convened.

The 'Challengers' Summit-2024' was inaugurated at the Walton Headquarters in Chandra, Gazipur, on Thursday morning (February 15) 2024.

The function was attended by Walton Group's Vice-Chairman SM Nurul Alam Rezvi, Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC's Vice-Chairman SM Ashraful Alam, Walton Plaza's Managing Partner SM Mahbubul Alam, Walton Digi-Tech Industries' Chairman SM Rezaul Alam and Managing Director SM Monjurul Alam, Walton Hi-Tech's Directors Zakia Sultana, Tahmina Afrose Tanna and Nishat Tasnim Shuchi, Walton Plaza's Managing Director Mohammad Rayhan.

More than one thousand officials, comprising plaza managers, regional sales managers, credit managers, and other members, from over seven hundred Walton Plazas nationwide participated in the Challengers Summit.

During the conference, the high authorities of the company delivered their important directives to the participants, emphasizing the current global trends in the electronics and technology business.

Speakers at the summit underscored the need for maintaining Walton Plaza's leading position in sales revenue, social and humanitarian endeavors, and ensuring top-notch customer service.

They highlighted Walton Plaza's achievement of being recognized as the top sales network through nationwide CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities, employment generation, and skill development initiatives.

They also highlighted that Walton Plaza is the only establishment in the world offering the 'Hire Purchase Buyer and Family Protection Policy.' Under this policy, Walton Plaza extends financial assistance ranging from Tk 25 thousand to Tk 3 lakh, based on the product price, in the event of the death of the hire purchaser or any of their family members.

Moreover, holders of the hire purchase protection card receive premium services and special benefits, including discounts at various organizations such as hospitals, diagnostic centers, insurance providers, restaurants, and more.

During the event, senior officials from Walton also introduced a new series of air conditioners named 'Avian.' This innovative series by Walton is characterized by its exceptional power-saving capabilities, extensive energy-efficient intelligent inverter technology, and smart digital display.

Notably, the smart digital display of the Avian series AC will not only show the temperature but also display the mood activated by users, providing a unique and user-friendly experience.

A total of 194 individuals were recognized and awarded for their outstanding contributions to the sales growth of Walton Plaza in 2023. The awards and crests were presented to the recipients by Walton Plaza's Managing Partner, SM Mahbubul Alam, and Managing Director, Mohammad Rayhan.

The day-long summit was also attended, among others, by Walton Digi-Tech's Additional Managing Director (AMD) Engineer Liakat Ali, Walton Hi-Tech's AMD Maj Gen (Retd.) Ibne Fazal Shayekhuzzaman, Nazrul Islam Sarker, SM Shoyeb Hossain Nobel, Deputy Managing Director Mohammad Yousuf Ali and Chief Information Officer Mofizur Rahaman Jakir.

Popular film actor and Senior Executive Director Amin Khan moderated the summit.

The day-long 'Walton Plaza Challengers Summit-2024' ended with a cultural programme.
