Walton wins ICMAB’s best corporate award

The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) has presented the Best Corporate Award 2021 to Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC, recognising its market capitalisation, good corporate governance and others.

At the flagship event of the ICMAB held at hotel InterContinental in Dhaka on Thursday, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi handed over the award to Golam Murshed, managing director of the Walton.

Walton, one of the leading electronic products manufacturers in the country, has been given the award considering its contribution and fulfilling special criteria including market capitalisation, good corporate governance, acceptance of information and credibility as a listed company in the stock market.

Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Professor Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam and FBCCI President Md Jasim Uddin, among others, were present at the event.

Company Secretary and Senior Executive Director of Walton Md. Rafikul Islam and Chief Risk Officer and Deputy Executive Director Ariful Islam also attended the programme.

In his instant reaction, Golam Murshed said that the ICMAB has recognised Walton presenting the best corporate gold trophy as the best electronic manufacturer in Bangladesh.

The prestigious award will be very instrumental for members of the WALTON team who have worked by upholding their dedication to achieve the success, he said.

“I would love to dedicate the award to all the investors, the board of directors, and all of our valued customers,” he said.
