Dutch investors planning to invest in Bangladesh’s high-tech park

Dutch investors are planning to go for a mega investor in Bangladesh’s hi-tech parks to keep a significant contribution to the local economy.

President of Dutch-Bangla Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DBCCI) Anwar Shawkat Afser, said it after meeting with Bikarna Kumar Ghosh, managing director of Bangladesh Ti-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA) at his office on Sunday.

Ghosh appreciated the DBCCI’s decision, highlighting the country’s current business-friendly atmosphere.

He focused on a mega investor that is already in the pipeline for investing in Hi-Tech Park and said the Bangladeshi business consortium may realise the opportunity.

BIDA-DBCCI Delegation may keep a significant contribution to align this investment, he said adding that the DBCCI delegation may open more gateway for European investment and investment from Latin America.

During the meeting, Afser highlighted the upcoming BIDA-DBCCI delegation named, “Bangladesh Investment Road Show in the BENELUX & Latin America-2023” which will be jointly organised by the BIDA and DBCCI.

The event will begin on February 25 and will continue till March 8, 2023, in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Brazil and Argentina.

Biswajit Roy, coordinator of the DBCCI, among others, was present during the meeting.
