ICMAB to award 55 institutions

ICMAB to award 55 institutions

The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) will give the ICMAB Best Corporate Award-2021 to 55 organisations in 17 categories with three honours — gold, silver, and bronze — in each.

Abdul Aziz, chairman of the award committee disclosed the information in a press conference at the Capital Market Journalist Forum (CMJF) auditorium on Monday.

ICMAB President Mamunur Rashid, Secretary AKM Kamruzzaman, Treasurer Ali Haider Chowdhury and Safa Advisor and former Safa President AKM Delwar Hossain were present at the press conference.

Abdul Aziz said that the award will be officially presented at Intercontinental Hotel in the capital on December 1. Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi will attend the award ceremony as the chief guest.

Besides, Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Professor Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam and Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) President Md Jasimuddin will be present as special guests.

It was informed in the press conference that 165 companies participated in the capital market this year, from which 55 organisations will be awarded in 17 categories under 28 criteria.

The chairman of the jury board was the former governor of Bangladesh Bank Dr Mohammed Farashuddin. Ruhul Amin and Jamal Uddin were also members of the board.

The Best Corporate Award is given annually by ICMAB based on the annual report and audited accounts of the corporate organisations and their overall economic development and social responsibility.

The institute has been giving this award since 2007.
