REHAB observes National Mourning Day

Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) on August 15 observed National Mourning Day and the 47th death anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman through various activities.

On the day, doa mahfil was offered and almost two thousand people were served food at the headquarter of REHAB. Also, Quran recitation and prayer were said by students from orphanages.

President of REHAB, Shamsul Alamin was the chief guest on the programme.

He stated in his speech that Bangabandhu not only wanted to achieve independence but also dreamt of establishing Bangladesh in the world as both a politically and economically free nation. Bangabandhu’s ultimate dream was to build ‘Sonar Bangla’ without poverty and hunger.

Alamin further said that he believes the unfinished work of Bangabandhu is being and will be finished by his daughter, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

He urged all to preach the principle of Bangabandhu to the younger generation.

Among others, the REHAB’s Senior Vice President Enthekhabul Hamid, First Vice President Kamal Mahmud and Vice President (Finance) Engr Md Shohel Rana also gave their speeches respectively reiterating the life philosophy of Bangabandhu.

The programme was conducted by the Chairman of Cultural Standing Committee Md Kamrul Islam.

Along with the board of directors and members of REHAB, many real estate businessmen were present in the programme.
