VRM to triple Premier Cement’s production

Premier Cement Mills Limited, a listed company, has commissioned a vertical roller mill (VRM) in its plants to boost production.
After the commissioning of this new technology, the cement maker’s per day production capacity will increase to 25,520 tonnes a day from 8,000 tonnes, Premier Cement said in a filing on the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Sunday.
The company bought this VRM technology from FLSmidth, Denmark.
After the announcement of commissioning VRM, Premier Cement’s share price rose nearly 5 percent to Tk 49.1 per share on the DSE at 11-30 am on Sunday.
Premier Cement Mills’ paid-up capital is Tk 105 crore and the company gave a 20 percent cash dividend to its shareholders for the year ended on June 30, 2021.
