MCCI donates Tk 50 lakh for flood victims

Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dhaka (MCCI) has donated Tk. 50 lakh and some other materials to Sajida Foundation to help the country’s flood victims.

MCCI President Md Saiful Islam handed over the cheque and materials to Zahida Fizza Kabir Sajida, chief executive officer of the foundation during an official programme held at its Gulshan office on yesterday.

It was a joint contribution of the MCCI members to support the victims of the recent flood in Bangladesh, reports a press release.

The donation comes from Advanced Chemical Industries, A.K. Khan & Company, Agricultural Marketing Company, Arla Foods Bangladesh, Bengal Glass Works, Berger Paints Bangladesh, Elite Iron & Steel Industries, Mirpur Ceramics, Picard Bangladesh, Pioneer Insurance Company, Pubali Jute Mills, Square Group, Technohaven Company, Transcom and others.

As a responsible business organisation, the MCCI always thinks about the betterment of the society.
