Six Bangladeshi Universities listed in WURI ranking 2022

Six Bangladeshi universities have entered the Global Top Innovative Universities of the World's Universities with Real Impact (WURI) Ranking 2022.

As shown on the website, the placements of the said universities were as follows: University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh - ULAB (ranked 96), International University of Business, Agriculture and Technology - IUBAT (ranked 101 to 200), American International University Bangladesh – AIUB (ranked 101 to 200), World University of Bangladesh – WUB (ranked 101 to 200), Canadian University of Bangladesh – CUB (ranked 201 to 300) and Daffodil International University – DIU (ranked 201 to 300), said a press release.

Bangladesh’s top-ranked university, ULAB, has moved up four notches in WURI’s Global Top Innovative Universities – from rank 100 in 2021 to rank 96 in 2022. The top five ranked universities in the world were: (1) Minerva Schools at Keck Graduate Institute (USA); (2) Arizona State University (USA); (3) Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA); (4) Stanford University (USA); and (5) University of Pennsylvania (USA).

The WURI ranking was developed by the Hanseatic League of Universities (HLU); its mission is on innovation in teaching and research in higher education institutions. Given its mission, HLU has formed an alternative ranking system called WURI, which evaluates a university's real contribution to society and highlights creative innovative approaches to university research and education.
